Affiliate Disclosure
The Short Version
Some of the links on aigiftfind.com are affiliate links. That means if you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission from the retailer. This never costs you anything extra — the price you pay is exactly the same as if you'd gone directly to the store.
This is how we keep AI Gift Idea free to use.
The Longer Version (For People Who Like Details)
AI Gift Idea is a participant in multiple affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates Program, and partnerships with retailers through networks like ShareASale, Impact, CJ Affiliate, and others. These programs are designed to let websites like ours earn commissions by linking to products we recommend.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
When our AI recommends a gift and provides a product link, that link may contain an affiliate tracking code. If you click the link and make a purchase (sometimes within a set time window, like 24 hours for Amazon), the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. Commission rates vary by retailer and product category — typically between 1% and 20%.
The key thing to know: whether a link is an affiliate link has zero influence on what gets recommended. Our AI suggests products based on your conversation — who you're shopping for, what they're into, and your budget. It doesn't factor in commission rates, and it doesn't prioritize one retailer over another because of affiliate terms.
What This Means for You
You don't pay more. Affiliate commissions come from the retailer's marketing budget, not from a markup on the product. The price is identical whether you use our link or type the URL yourself.
Our recommendations aren't for sale. We don't accept payment from brands to feature their products. We don't boost products with higher commission rates. If our AI recommends a $15 book from Amazon (where we might earn $0.60) over a $200 gadget from a partner paying 10%, it's because the book was the better match for your situation.
We only partner with reputable retailers. We vet the affiliate programs we join. If a retailer has a pattern of poor customer service, shipping issues, or sketchy return policies, we don't work with them — regardless of their commission offer.
Where You'll See Affiliate Links
Affiliate links appear in several places on our site:
- AI Gift Finder results — Product links generated during your conversation with our AI
- Gift guide articles — "Buy on Amazon," "Shop on Etsy," and similar product links within our blog content
- Comparison tables — Product links in side-by-side comparison charts
- Seasonal roundups — Links within holiday and occasion-specific gift guides
In our written content, we aim to make it clear when a link goes to a retailer. We don't disguise affiliate links as editorial content, and we don't use misleading anchor text to trick you into clicking.
Our Affiliate Partners
We work with a range of retailers and affiliate networks, including but not limited to:
- Amazon Associates
- Target Partners
- Etsy Affiliate Program
- ShareASale merchants
- Impact merchants
- CJ Affiliate merchants
- Rakuten Advertising merchants
- Various direct brand affiliate programs
This list evolves as we add and remove partnerships. The common thread: we only work with retailers we'd feel comfortable recommending to a friend.
FTC Compliance
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). The FTC requires that we disclose any material connection between our site and the products or services we recommend.
We take this seriously. Beyond this dedicated disclosure page, we include brief disclosure notices within individual articles and on pages where affiliate links appear.
